“What’s your position on weed, Sir?” Troy had the trout ready to go; all he needed was for the potatoes to cook in their foil.

He found green to be vastly superior to beer. No puking. No hangover. No calories. He tried not to smoke it too much, because it made him crave a Marlboro Light, but sure knew how.

“Favorable. If you have it, you better share it.”

Was Sir grinning at him or levelling an order? This not looking Saul in the eye thing made things tough.

“Good to know.” He could share a couple shotguns. In fact, that thought made him about hard; the idea of passing the smoke between them hot as all get out.

“I’m not hitting you with anything if either of us is high though, boy. Or tying you up.” Saul sauntered over from the tent and kissed his shoulder. “Sex is totally okay though.”

He made a sound that was vaguely like a startled duck. “Shit, sex is totally better than okay, Master.”

“Kinda thought you’d feel that way.” Saul sniffed at the fish. “Dinner smells good.”

“Thank you. Hopefully it tastes good.” He wasn’t worried. He knew it would taste just fine.

Saul just laughed. “Get serious, boy. You want a Coke?”

“I do, thank you. A Dr Pepper, please Sir.” Troy grinned. A guy had to fish for compliments sometimes. Oh. Fish. Ha!

Saul dug around in the truck and came back with his Dr Pepper and a ginger ale. “I like you in a collar. I could get used to that look.”

Troy’s cheeks liked to burn. “Thank you, Sir.”

He was buzzing already, just a little off-center.

“I like that look too. The blush I mean.” Saul was sitting close, but just out of reach. “So think for a minute, and then tell me how you feel about my order to not meet my eyes today.”

This was a challenge, wasn’t it? Was he totally honest, good and bad? Did he fudge the bit where he’d been grateful for his hat and sunglasses? He was pretty used to not meeting Doms’ eyes, but ‘I don’t want to see your eyes’? That was headache-inducing.

“Yes, Sir.”

He checked the potatoes, checked the green beans bubbling in the can. One more turn for the trout and it was time to eat.

Saul sat quietly, sipping ginger ale and being patient. When Sir said take your time, or think for a minute, he really meant it and never rushed Troy into an answer. That was good and bad, because a man could think himself in circles on a question like this one.

“So how much do you want to hear, Master?”

“Anything that comes to mind. You’re still welcome to speak freely.”

“It wasn’t terrible. We were busy and both had sunglasses on. I’m careful at the gatherings.” He plated their plates and handed Saul his supper. “The sunglasses saved me from the seeing my eyes rule. That’s hard on the head, looking down.”

“Thank you.” Saul grabbed a fork and took it over to the table, looking thoughtful, and dug right into his fish.
